BEAR'S PAW BAKERY, JASPER

Picture a charming railway town in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. In the distance, there are sunlit mountain tops, dramatic waterfalls and pristine lakes. The air is crisp, and animal friends frolic in the distance. Now that we have set the scene, there is one thing missing. This calls for a coffee.

Look no further than 'Bear's Paw Bakery', quite possibly one of the cutest bakeries I have seen. With a woodsy, cozy feel, it is a perfect fit for Jasper. It is easy to see why it is adored by the national park's many visitors. Locally owned and in a prime location, it has been a longtime favourite of the community.

As you walk in the door, you are met with limitless options. For the sweet lovers, we have cinnamon buns, muffins and danishes. For the savoury, there are sandwhiches, cheese sticks and sausage rolls. The croissant, which was hearty and filling, hit the spot. It was perfect to fill up with before an adventurous afternoon.

While wandering the quaint downtown area, a caffeine fix is basically a requirement. Coffee lovers will be satisfied with the range of Americanos, lattes, and cappucinos, with icy options for sunny weather. It also serves freshly brewed coffee, which always tastes better in the great outdoors.

This bakery is worth visiting for the warm and fuzzy atmosphere alone, but the delicious treats also help. It is such a cute little gem in the wild.
