THE NEW CORTADO AT STARBUCKS REVIEW

After the holiday rush, Starbucks introduced a new menu. Included, was the new Cortado. It's tiny, strong and delicious. So, what exactly is a cortado, anyways? I promise this little coffee will help fight the January blues in a big way.

A cortado is made of espresso and milk. Unlike similar drinks, it is stronger. This is a huge win for me because I prefer the coffee to shine and, quite frankly, find many lattes too milky. Even though they are small in stature, the cortado packs a rich flavour that is delightful to the last sip. The key with cortado is balance. The milk and espresso are made equally and compliment each other nicely.

The cortado originated in Spain. It fits in the palm of your hand and is a great treat while running to work or the airport. I have always heard of the cortado, picturing it as a coffee you would sip in a Barcelona cafe or on the beach. I am glad I can now enjoy them at home. I think Starbucks has stayed true to the formula. They come in a short cup and are made with the brand's popular blonde espresso. This cute coffee will be my go-to for a while.

The cortado is made for coffee lovers. Try one today!
