NY BAKERY AND DESSERTS IN TIMES SQUARE

It turns out some of the cutest bakeries are in the heart of the city, Times Square to be exact. We stopped at NY Bakery and Desserts for an afternoon pick-me-up.

This adorable bakery is best stumbled upon when you need to satisfy a sugar craving. It has two locations on 7th Avenue and Broadway. Since we were staying close by, we took a couple slices of cheesecake back to our hotel. 

As you walk in, you are greeted by cutesy decor that includes a few chandeliers-nice touch. The atmosphere itself could cause anyone to have a sweet tooth. It had a chic yet friendly feel and all of the treats looked nothing short of mouthwatering. Whether you are looking for a slice of cake or a light lunch, you are sure to find it here. The trays were filled with cakes, pies and pastries including fresh, handmade croissants, danishes and Baklava. For the extra sweet lovers, there were colourful macarons and cupcakes. 

For special occasions, there were plenty of whole cakes to choose from. There is something so satisfying about these whole cakes-you almost don't want to eat them because they are so pretty. Of course, New York is known for its smooth, rich cheesecakes and this bakery delivered. I tried the oreo flavour and let's just say, it did not disappoint. 

With plenty of competition in the city, it would be easy to miss this bakery. But it definitely caught our eye as were walking in one of (if not, the) busiest place in the world. The best part is, it also had great coffee. I had an Americano which was served in a lovely to-go cup with a city skyline design. There is nothing like a coffee with dessert.

I would recommend this bakery if you are staying in Times Square because it is the perfect place to grab a snack (it is open 24 hours!). is also great for a caffeine fix which let's face it, is much needed in New York City.
