VALENTINO BORN IN ROMA PERFUME REVIEW

I can't believe it, but December is nearly here. Perfume is always a beautiful gift to give, to others or to yourself! So, I thought I would review my current signature scent. Here is my review of Valentino's Born in Roma Yellow Dream perfume.

I have been wearing this perfume since 2021. Firstly, why did I choose Valentino Born in Roma? Besides the fabulous advertising and marketing of this scent online, Valentino is such a classic brand. When I think of Valentino I think of art, romance and Italy. I also loved the Born in Roma name. I have visited Rome before and like most people, the city stuck with me. I thought it would be nice to be reminded of the Eternal City in my everyday life. I also adore the packaging and bottle. When I think of Valentino, I think of vibrant red and pink colours. But the name Yellow Dream is suitable as the streets of Rome are always draped in a golden light.

The scent surprised me with its lightness. It is a lovely floral scent that is also refreshing and vibrant. I bought this perfume with the intention of wearing it occasionally, but it could easily be worn everyday. It has some spicy notes but for the most part is warm and fruity. It also has hints of lemon and rose. How very Italian. I definitely prefer these scents over stronger ones. That being said, I like it to be noticeable and lasting. For the most part, Yellow Dream does the trick.

I expected a Valentino scent to be a little more dramatic, but I like how this scent does not overpower a room. I really appreciate its subtley and beauty. If you have always been a fan of vanilla or flowery smells, I think you will love it. I am not sure if it will be my signature scent forever, but for the foreseeable future, I will happily wear it. Like I mentioned before, it is presented beautifully and looks so nice sitting on your night stand or counter.
